From our website

Our website is hosted by Google. Like any web server, it receives basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type when you visit, and our web fonts are served by Google Fonts. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site.

How we use information

We use information only to:

We never use decedent or family information for marketing.

How we share information

We share information only:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Plaid

We use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to connect our own business bank accounts to our internal bookkeeping tools, so we can reconcile payments and expenses. Plaid collects and processes account and transaction information on our behalf. We do not use Plaid to access anyone else’s bank accounts. Plaid’s handling of information is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

How we protect information

We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, role-based access so each person sees only what their job requires, and secure disposal of records we no longer need. These controls are part of a written information security program that we review regularly.

Access and identity. Every account in our systems is created and issued by Caring Hands; there is no public sign-up. Owners and managers confirm each new sign-in with a code sent by text message, and connecting a bank account through Plaid also requires a fresh Face ID or Touch ID check. When someone leaves our team, a single deactivation disables their account, ends their active sessions and removes their access everywhere at once.

Zero trust. We do not trust any request because of where it comes from. Every request to our systems must come from a signed-in account, is checked against that person’s role, and is limited to the data their job requires, whether it comes from our office, a driver’s phone or anywhere else.

How long we keep information

We keep business, billing, tax and transport records for seven (7) years, as required for business and tax purposes. Other information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by law, and is then securely deleted.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing admin@caringhandspartners.com or calling (412) 606-5023. We will verify your request and respond within 30 days. Some records, such as billing and tax records, must be kept for the period required by law even if you ask us to delete them; if so, we will tell you.

Decedents and families

We treat information about decedents and their families as confidential and handle it with dignity and respect. It is shared only with those directly involved in a call, or as required by law.

Children

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes take effect when posted.
